The other technician swapped ECM and the engine starts but the gearbox is not active.
What do I have to do to solve this problem?
Probably there is something to do like synchronize the new (its an already used one) ECM with the other ECU in the car or with the gearbox?
What tools do I need for that?
Is the tool WiTECH MicroPod 2 Diagnostic Tool V17.04.27 For Fiat Dodge Jeep Chrysler suitable for the job?
Or do I have to go with Abrites AVDI or other tool (thanks for sharing the name of it)?
We run a diagnostic and we received a fault code on the WCM/Wireless Control Module of an internal fault.
I ordered a new unit, sent the vehicle to the dealership for programming.
The dealership then calls me and says that they have programmed the new WCM but they also needed to program a new Electronic Steering Lock at the same time so now the new WCM I bought is wasted. I am not sure if this is true or not? The dealership wants me to buy another WCM and ESL + programming + labour to have the car fixed. These are the fault codes after I took the car back from them.

I already scan the truck with DRB III and there is no data or DTC present, the light is off , or any trace of a DTC in other modules.
Already change the ECM for a new one , gasoline pump and everything related to the gas.

Any ideas or related problem with this ?

Good Afternoon M8's.

I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 1999 V6 engine in line, and I have a problem that's is very weird, when you are driving (engine cool or hot) and you reach around 60 km or sometimes even less, the engine start loosing power, and when you try to accelerate you can hear explosions and won't accelerate, so what I do is to slowly start to accelerate to continue.

I already scan the truck with DRB III and there is no data or DTC present, the light is off , or any trace of a DTC in other modules.
Already change the ECM for a new one , gasoline pump and everything related to the gas.

Any ideas or related problem with this ?

Regards.

Is a Jeep Patriot 2008 CRD 4X4 , 103KW VIN:1J8FFC8Y47D356287
Worked at this car last year (timing, shock absorbers, clutch kit, etc) and since then, till few weeks ago car have been stored in owner garage. Now owner came and told me other problems about car but through others, he told me that he feel diesel to coming in cabin, but nothing on the floor. I take the car in a test drive and forced like a hell, and after I return to garage, I can see on floor a little smear of diesel. Lifting the car and watching cannot see nothing (all is dirty with diesel, mud and little oil), so I decide to wash that back side of engine, to be clean and dry with brake cleaner. When all was "clean" but at least dry, I started engine, but guess what? Cannot see nothing leakage, even under car or under hood, but when sun is shining it can be seen, diesel steam, somewhere in exhaust area. Did someone know what the hell can be there (diesel pipe) or maybe someone can help me with a diesel pipes diagram? I think that is need to drive in force with the car and engine to be cold, cause being warmed all leakage is convert in steam.
Thanks in advance guys.
