Hiya guys,

I've got a 2005 Honda CRV with ABS fault and DTC 66-1 Brake Pressure Failure,
common fault with ABS light and VSA light illuminated.
Sent the unit for test and repair to ecutesting.com, they came back to me and said it was faulty and repairable. So we had it repaired, fitted the unit but still getting the DTC 66-1. We sent unit back to which the response was unit tested ok but rebuilt again as a precaution. Had unit back but still DTC 66-1, phoned them up and they asked if we had calibrated the sensors, which we had.
OK we where a bit skeptical so we sent the unit to control units another company offering repairs on this common fault. We told them about the previous visits the unit had to ecutesting.com they said it might be the valve. Anyway they got in touch and said the unit is working as it should and couldn't fault it.
The engineer told me to leave it with ignition on for 30 mins. Hmmmm guess what DTC 66-1 fault still remaining and wont clear at all.
Looking at the data the brake pressure is reading 0 with pedal not pressed and goes up a couple thousand Psi.

What am i missing here guys?

Cheers.

I have this Civic as listed with 150k mls which starts and runs fine from cold after 20 + minutes of driving several miles at point of failure it can lose power with an irresponsible throttle it seems to idle without revving up. Will switch off and restart and run slightly better for a short while No fault codes have appeared in engine system nothing apparent in live data apart from engine temp high for diesel at 118 degree C and fans not cutting in. I suspect this maybe due to corrosion in rad/poor circulation but am surprised at no codes if this is causing power loss. No issues with overheating or water loss from customer this is only issue I have found so far! In live data air and fuel drop off at same time so difficult to see if MAF or rail pressure at fault.
Many component tests relating to injection fuel and turbo pressure egr etc all pass OK. No any DTC's.

Hello AP team members.

I have a problem with an Acura RL 2006 with the 3.5 J series engine.
The issue that I have is that the A/C system is non-operational.
When I purchased the car, the car A/C was not working and I checked on my gauges that the system had pressure but the clutch was not engaging.
I checked the relay, and the connector and find an open circuit on the line.
I fixed it and the clutch was engaging, but the A/C did not work.
When I recovered the refrigerant, I got 400 gr of the 500 gr. I proceeded to find the leak and an o ring was leaking.
I replaced the o-ring. Filled with the 500 gr but the system did only took 80 gr of 500 gr and the pressure on the low side was 90 psi and the high side was 50 psi. I suspected of a worn compressor because the system wasn't pumping refrigerant. So I ordered a new A/C compressor and a receiver dyer, a Denso new unit.
The A/C compressor oil was clear without any metal shavings and the desiccant bag had any, so I did not consider a flush was necessary.
I changed the compressors, installed o rings and I had the same issue. 80 gr of 500 psi.
As you can imagine I was upset because of that. So I proceeded to disassemble further the system. And I found that the expansion valve was stuck closed. Happiness returned to my soul and proceeded to remove the evaporator, expansion valve and hoses.
I cleaned the evaporator and with an air hose I got a pretty good airflow, and swapped the expansion valve, cleaned the hoses and with the air gun and I had no restrictions in the lines. New o rings in the system. And I disassembled again the condenser and with my air gun I didn't get the flow that I had with the evaporator but I didn't consider that I was restricting.
After assembled the system with new o rings and vacuumed for 2 hours. I put some refrigerant in the system and encounter the same issue.
100 psi on low and now 100 psi on the hi side. Electrical wise on Honda HDS I have an open in the outside temp sensor, but the clutch is engaging and the pressure switch reads 95 psi similar to my hi side reading.

So here I am in a hot car and without any more ideas.
I can swap for a new condenser, but I can't think any more of why the A/C is not taking more refrigerant or compressing it.

Any ideas are super appreciated.

Car has sound from top of engine, it is not tapping or knocking, more like droning sound.
When car is driven at 4.000 rpm noise gets louder and car will not rev anymore,
i have code read but has no codes in at moment.
I am looking for information on cams, timing VTEC units like workshop manual.
Engine code: K20Z4

Hello AP team.

I have a problem with a Honda CRV 2.4 2005 that has a belt problem.
Let me give some background details.
When I purchased the CRV I installed a new belt and call it a day.
Later on, I had to install a new and a new pulley bearing and A/C compressor because the bearings of the compressor were making some noise.
After that the car was functioning normally until recent storms caused the belt to slip, I got, and alternator warning light and I got a terrible squeaking noise.
Then I proceeded to check the belt and tensioner. The marks on the tensioner were way off and caused belt to slip a lot.
And the grooves of the belt were very worn. When I did spray some water to check the squeaking noise the A/C pulley just completely stopped.
After that I put a new tensioner and a brand-new belt. But when I checked the alternator. The bearings of the alternator didn’t sound right.
So, I disassembled the alternator, put new bearings (the back one was terrible) and assembled the car.
When I started the car, no more noise. Victory time. But the CRV did have some other plans for me. I used the car after 8 hours and the squeaking noise is back. It’s like I didn’t solve my problem. I have suspects of the crankshaft pulley and the power steering.
But I want to check with others to hear some opinions, the noise stops momentarily after I put some water into the grooved part of the belt.
And the belt doesn’t appear to move side to side.

Looking forward to your opinions.

There is NO charge going into the "normal" battery under the bonnet.
There is a stored code of P1570 HV battery malfunction.
I know it seems obvious... but i have read about DC/DC issues and IMA motor problems...
Is it as obvious as it seems? I have HDS with tones of data but not too sure of what i'm looking at.
Any assistance in what the cell reading should be would be a great help.
Many thanks.
