No matter how i drive it the cat won't run. The best part is when i run the evap with the scantool it always aborts the test during the purge part of the test. It opens the purge then close to test tightness of the system then releases that pressure. It is when it slowly activates the purge. It gets to 31 percent and then aborts. Sets no codes. I tried another purge valve with no luck. I put a new float cause the old one was acting up. No matter what it always aborts. Anyone run across the problems i been having?

Hi to All,

I have two Chevrolet HHR, first 2.4l LT 2008 (Europe) and the second HHR SS 2.0l Turbo 2008 motorcode LNF (US Import).
On my Computer is installed Opel GlobalTis v32b also the GDS2 Diagnostic Package and using GM MDI.

With the LT and the installed Soft I have no problems.
Also for the SS model I can perform all programming via Tech2Win (1.602) with Opel GT/Chevrolet HHR bin v.30.004, reset BCM and so on...

In GDS2 (v 9.1.01001 // GM PreProduction 2011.11.3) the VIN of the SS is immediately recognized but if I want info about the ECM it returns the message "Possibly wrong Vehicle".
Do I use the wrong GTIS?

My goal is to obtain info about the ECU (or ECM?) even it´s possible, to make a dump.
Under SPS I thought then I perform the "replace and program ECU" in believing I can intercept the dump of the Engine Control Module stored on my computer.
To do this, under SPS I can only choose the Opel GT (same motor) all the modules are listed execpt the desired ECM.

Edit: The ECU is a Bosch E69, perhaps anyone knows in another way how to make a dump of ECM
with other hard- and software.

Any Idea for me?
Thanks a lot!

Hey guys, can somebody please help me to identify the issue.
I've got a 2003 Saturn Vue (front wheel drive) and then I noticed that there is a sound when you drive it. The sound gets louder the higher the speed.

First I thought that there is something wrong in the axles. So I jacked up both front wheels and started to experiment.
1. Neutral - accelerating - no sound.
2. Drive - holding tight the right wheel and accelerating - result same sound
3. Drive - holding tight the left wheel and accelerating - result same sound

Here is the link to the video, you can hear the sound getting louder on approximately 10+ second.

End result - 100% NOT axles.
I also thought that there might be something wrong in the valves but then I should've been hearing the sound at neutral as well. So it's out of the question.
My guess that it might be cogwheels in the differential since the sound is present only in D.

I haven't had anything like that before so I can't really identify the issue by sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is the car i own. I have been having this problem i just can't nail down. Every morning when i start the car it throws a soft code P0017. The code pretains to the corrolation between the crank and the cam. After that the code passes. I could clear the code and start 100 times and it won't fail. If i leave the code once every couple of days it might set the light on but most of the time it clears itself. the connections seem fine i have changed the cam sensor, cam actuator and crank sensor. I have also changed the crank pully cause it was wobbling. I know their is a tsb on chain strecthing but wouldn't it throw both intake and exhaust codes? If the chains were strecth or the ring on the crank slipped it would set multi codes. I seen Cadi's with DI had alot of problems with their 3.6 liters and issued a TSB that flashed the ECM and changed the Long Life oil to trip earlier. Any ideas would be great. I have no problems changing the chains but want to know it will fix it.
The car is a Pontiac G6 GTP 3.6L with 6 speed auto tranny.

Thanks
