Hi all.

I’m try to fix my mates BMW X5. It’s a 2008 BMW X5 3.0D. The electronic parking brake failed so I have replaced it with a new one. Since replacing it the following codes have come up. The new handbrake is working as it should. But can’t seem to clear the following current codes. Especially in the EPB.

Can anybody help? My Launch won’t allow me to change the stored VIN in the new EPB module, but would that throw up the EPB faults?

Cheers.

Hi,

I have tried to program and code a new Mechatronic with ISTA-D.
When the work process is calculated, a hardware task is listed for the amplifier (exchange it).
Can someone confirm that this is the operation that is preventing the repair starting?
There is only one outstanding hardware action as shown in the list.
I tried unplugging the amp but then got a fail due to no replace and program amp action.
If anyone knows a workaround I would like some ideas please.

Thanks.

Hello Guys.

I am working on this BMW E90 with N46 engine. Someone previously to me was trying to seal an oil leak. Usually the fault is the vacuum pump on the back of the head that leaks. This guy for some reason made a small problem to a big problem! He removed the rocker cover and lifted the last cap (don't know the correct term for it, its not a cam bearing cap but looks similar) and filled some silicone in there, this did not help with anything.
According to BMW TIS this cap should never be removed!

My question is how do I correctly install this vacuum pump/bracket/cap?
Attached is a screenshot from TIS, if I haven't worded myself properly.
On a diesel E71 year 2012 engine N57 I want to swap the transfer case.
The car arrived to me without original transfer case actuator 27607643762.
Now I have to install a used transfer case that comes from a E70 year 2010 engine N55 (VIN L456534).
Is it possible?
Do I have to first renew the actuator?

I have ICOM A2 + B + C without the software, i obtained at auction of the goods of a bankrupt automobile garage.
How can I know if they are original Actia equipment or not?
I intend to use INPA (K+D-Can) and or ISTA/D?
Can someone tell me from where I can download the software that I have to use?

Good Morning Guys,
Hope you are all keeping well?

Got this 2013 F20 114i in the workshop with some engine running issues to sort out.
One of the issues is that it has been remapped and the new owner wanted it put back to stock, and I had also advised this as the unrefined ECU map may be causing uncharacteristic issues.
So I've set this vehicle up for programming and continued as per normal, so everything programmed correctly as per ISTA/D Next, except for DME coding.
I've checked the status of the DME, which is still communicating, and it is missing the CAFD file from its itinerary.
I have tried to recode the DME several times again with ISTA/D and E-Sys with no further success.
Has anyone seen this before and is there a way I can recover the coding data for the DME?
Any help/advice/guidance will be highly appreciated

TIA, BB
