Hi m8's,
Tomorrow I wrestle with one RT3. No NAVI, no mp3 read.
For reading MP3 need newest version. I thing after 6.52.
This is 6.63. CD8.09 latest for RT3. With this software is possible to read MP3.
I insert one disk with MP3, result NO reading.
And.. running cleaning procedure. After opening all is very dirty.
Remove Radio with torx T10. Its easy. Open radio 2 screw on top, front panel pulling.
Remove cap on battery , and remove battery.
Remove 4 screws on top and rear. Open Radio, CD module is viewing.
Pull module not disconnect line cable.
Revert to another side, and view small motor with gear, with small screwdriver rotate to going module with lens to end.
With cotton buds with alcohol clean 3-4 times lens.
Reassemble back and good luck.
Do not try with CD-RW, not working
Write CD with Windows Image Burning, all is OK]]> PSA Navi maps, etc...

On stripping down found all 8 rocker arms broken but valves appeared to be all level. On inspecting the camshaft its not a cast shaft but steel with pressed on lobes which didn't look right. On comparing with another it was in a bad shape. After fitting second hand camshaft and rockers new belt kit etc the engine runs perfect. I've took a photo of the 2 camshafts side by side.
On the left is the shaft from engine on the right is the new one.

The shop that replaced the exhaust didnt notice or didnt care.
Cutting the wires and soldering together some new wires all worked like a charm again.

I have found that there can be a programming conflict between the software in the BSI and the Sun/Rain sensor.
This causes multiple can faults in most control units on the vehicle.
It can be sorted by both items having a software update or removing the rain sensor connector at the BSI and reprogramming the vehicle for non auto lights and wipers.

I'll try to connect a 5 watt bulb in parallel with the power tab VTC to see if that disappears when the "clap" is open or closed (on or off light)
