Current Systems supported:

Western Europe:
9-3 with SDAL navigation unit until 2005, maps >2010
9-3 with Denso / Grundig unit 2006 > 2011, maps > 2008 & 2012
9-5 with Denso ( kenwood ) unit 2005 > 2010, maps > 2005, 2008 & 2012
9-5 with Denso ( kenwood ) unit 2005 and 2006, FIRMWARE update, neccessary to use maps 2008 and more recent

The setup package of WIS does not run on x64 (because it's 16bit executable and 16bit sub-system was removed from x64). You need to first install WIS on a 32bit OS, copy all files (under program files and windows) back and register all OCX's and DLL's. Trust me, WIS does run on x64 Windows 8. Maybe someone can help to build a new setup package for x64.

2. Newer EPC EAC has a setup for windows 7, but it won't run on x64. The fundamental reason is the database engine is DAO. M$ drops support of DAO on x64. Don't waste your time on trying install it on x64 windows.

!!Correction!!: Latest EPC and EAC do run on x64 windows 8. There is a stupid error in the distribution of EPC I got. Please navigate to EPC\SYSTEM and check if there is a "Windows 64" folder. If so, rename the folder to "Windows64" (no space in between). You can then use the "SETUP for Windows 7" to install without problem. EAC distribution I got does not have this error and "SETUP for Windows 7" can work flawlessly.

3 The alternative solution for EPC is using GM Global EPC (I now use 2011 version), which do include all SAAB EPC till 2012. Global EPC does run on x64, but if you are using windows 8, some simple mods need to be done. The .msi setup packages in Global EPC check the launch condition to have windows version <=601 (windows 7). You need to first copy all files from DVDs to a local disk and use M$ ORCA tool to mod launch condition in all msi files (including the image viewer you will download on first view) to check windows version <=602 instead of 601.
