We had our logins blocked for about 8-9 days, starting on February 7, then we where able to log back in. We had to contact mbdiagnosis@mbusa.com to report our trouble, our popup said that we were blocked. The email came back telling us that we should change our tablets password as well as our networks wireless password with a very secure one. Mercedes also warned us about allowing any offline Mercedes installs to be connected to the network that our Kit 3 was on. They also warned about hooking up any third party analysis hardware or software, which is also known to compromise user credentials
I have heard from an EU user that said that his Kit was killed by Mercedes and he had to buy another. He said Mercedes told him his subscription was killed due to remote programming. He may have actually hooked up to stolen cars though. sadsmile2
He also tried stopping the GPS Geo location service on some cars that had it, and was very quickly contacted by Mercedes telling him to stop doing that.

We just performed an on site programming or coding on a Keyless entry module on a 2006 DAS car, no problem, but we would like to resume remote programming over the Internet ASAP, despite Mercedes saying that is not allowed.

Have any other AP users been shut off? What was the reason?

But as many people asked me about my nowadays, and everyone can see that I am away from our lovely AP... sleepy
I would like to say to everyone that the time has come to close my garage... The reason is a long story, before you ask, is not that COVID-19. shake COVID-19 was just iceing on the cake... My business was long time at the bottom of the lake. crying Long time ago, I was fighting a lot. My garage's life started to kill me, started to kill my contacts, started to kill my social life and started to kill every good things in my life. Started to destroy my health, I was a lot nervous, I lost the control, I destroyed my personal contacts, I destroyed the contacts in my family also. brokenheart Do not ask the all of reasons.
My decision is final! Sad story but this is it... I did the final decide when I had to leave my customers cars (3 cars) on the road for 1 night and someone broke the all of glasses on all 3 cars. HOW F***ing is the world where we live??? crying
Many people tried to help me and my father tried to keep me in this business because I inherited this occupation. My father is a car mechanic, my grandfather was car mechanic.
I tried to do this also and I invest my all of money, my all of energy, my all of time in this business, but I can not do it anymore. I think some people can understand my side.
I tried to move to another country, I worked in 2 countries, I tried so many things...
I don’t want to keep complaining, A lot of good things have happened with me, and I got a lot of good and happy moments, One of from this positive things is the Auto-Professionals Forum. I found a really good "family" here, I got friends/mates/ here.
Everyday when I visited our AP site, I came here to help and ask help as a family member. I spent my time on our AP site as a hobby. NOT because duty.
I loved and I still love to spend time here. It could/can make me happy and can turns off my brain.
So the important thing that I do not want to leave our AP Forum!!!! On the contrary to! I want to rebuild my AP Life here and become an active member as Moderator again, as I was before. muscle
I think you are thinking now that what am i going to do if i closed the garage. I will work for someone else. I DO NOT want to be self-employed again! tmi
At the moment, Temporary, I work as Car Recovery. And I still repair cars for my best top 10 customers and for my friends ONLY on weekend, but nothing else!
My future plans are still not clear, honestly I don't know what will i do exactly, but one thing sure... I WILL START TO LIVE! I will collect money, buy a normal and good car (because I have never had any "good" car, I was a fu***ng car mechanic, and I had only half of died cars from 90's years), go out & make trips at least 1x times per month, spend more time with family, the most important thing, I WILL Rebuild my contact with my family, friends/mates and I will try to accept myself.
And I would like to say so Sorry here if I didn't answer to someone in the last 2-3 months.

I wish all the best to everyone, do better work life as I did. Do not loose the control, keep yourself in the hard times. wink
I will be here on AP and I will help every Active member as I did before. wink
