Lightning struck an Atego truck year 2008 MB 1832L with an OM501 engine.
This lightning was picked up by the antenna located above the cabin and which shows traces of burns.
This incident created a general failure on the CAN network with the following consequences:
- Its won't start
- The lights that come on
- The blinkers that shine

During diagnosis with Truck Explorer tool, the main modules are not displayed (TCO, MR, FR, INS, BS, GS, FM, HM: they are there, but display a communication error).
The GM module is visible (with among others the following CAN errors: 0B123, 0B223, 0B323) as well as ZDS (error 0E6A2, 0E644 among others), WS (error 0CA60).
I isolated the HM and FM, TCO modules, the problem is the same.
I replaced the GM, MR, FR this did not solve the problem either.
I believe I am facing a general CAN network failure problem and would like to know which of the modules is responsible for this failure.

- CPC Drive control
- DTCO Digital tachograph ECU
- FM Front module
- FR Drive control
- GM Base module
- GS Gear control

Unfortunately (perhaps fortunately) I do not have any MB truck to run tests with diagnosis tools and seems I cannot reach these features with the DAS simulator.

I understand some AdBlue codes and such need a code for clearing. This should be fine, code calculators are available. On latest diagnosis SW releases however everything works on-line (been told so), no option to enter the password and clear codes. Is it supposed to be like this (05.2015 and later DAS/Xentry releases) and is there any "fix" to enable the option to clear codes off-line?]]>
