Hi all.
Well here is the place to come for ALL Mazda IDS Info and Update News Including Calibration Sets.

Mazda Japan has major changes with Mazda IDS, as of October 1, 2025 Mazda Japan NO LONGER stores for Dealers ANY Calibrations Files which you cannot obtain anymore via a live download through IDS, PLUS+ the good news the Mazda VCM-II and activation codes are no longer required when you install IDS 140, although VCM-II remains supported for IDS and MDARS.
IDS 140.00 can be used with almost all J2534 VCI Pass-thru devices, you no longer have to Register on Mazda IDS or pay a fee to use it.
I still believe there are restrictions related to Locksmith code changes or repair...

VCM-II Phase-Out
Will be discontinued and no longer order-able after December 2025, MDARS and IDS support continues through to 2028.

New VCI is DENSO DST-010B which can be used in IDS and MDARS.
MDARS is Mazda's Live Diagnostics for all new product from 2019 Model Year, MDARS cannot be used in place of IDS and visa versa.

INSTALLING NEW IDS 140.00

CAUTION: All Previous versions of IDS must be Completely Uninstalled BEFORE installing IDS 140.00.
CLOSE ALL OTHER PROGRAMS WHEN INSTALLING or UPDATING IDS.

CAUTION: Please ensure that your PC's antivirus software has Whitelisted the specified IDS program.
Failure to do so will cause functionality issues with IDS and module programming.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mazda Motor Corporation\IDS\Runtime\MCPFunctionManager.dll

Upon Launching IDS140.00, you must select your scan tool (VCM-II or DST-010B or?) before scanning a vehicle.

You must update to IDS140.00 to avoid reprogramming issues if older Versions are in use (like IDS 137, 138, 139), remember Calibration Files are no longer supplied through Mazda Portal for IDS, Calibration Files must be manually installed into your W10/W11 x64 Pro PC Laptop, see my Calibration File info below.

INFORMATION:
Permanent DTCs are now displayed with the IDS140.00 Update.
The purpose of a permanent DTC is to prevent customers from clearing them by disconnecting the battery cable in order to pass a smog check. All ECM and TCM DTCs that turn on the Check Engine Light can remain as a permanent DTC. They will not turn on the Check Engine light or cause drivability concerns. If you encounter a permanent DTC, ignore it and diagnose the current stored or pending DTC.

IDS will not clear permanent DTCs. They will only clear after conditions are met with some driving cycles. If you have performed a repair and a permanent DTC remains it is ok to use the vehicle.

So below is a download link for Mazda IDS 140.00, inside is also the IDS 140.04 Patch, plus a screen image on how the ''Calibration Files'' must be positioned inside Mazda Motor Corporation Directory, see my next post.

IDS 140.00 file to download is on MEGA and total size is 1.1GB.
ONLY ''Download as a .zip file'', this way the set of is downloaded to your location like Desktop, then you MUST extract the .zip file ONLY ONCE to Desktop.

Yes there are DAILY download limits for free use on MEGA, I strongly advise you download this IDS only pack and install FIRST on Day 1.
If you already have an old copy of IDS YOU MUST FULLY UNINSTALL BEFORE you attempt to install the 140.00.
When you click to uninstall old IDS you will be given an option to also remove some IDS settings, yes click on this also, once uninstalled reboot your PC.
Now you are safe to install IDS 140.00.

REMEMBER: You must Follow the Directions.

The Mazda IDS 140 is Mazda's ONLY Diagnostic Tool from original 'OBD Port' inception up to 2018 Model Year car production (approx).
Mazda Models made from MY 2019 to today is called Generation 7, then ALL diagnostics is done via Mazda's Live Dealer Portal using MDARS ONLY, but this still has a user pay and restricted content with this diagnostic program.

MDARS is NOT for use with any Generation 6 cars or Mazda's made before MY 2019.
Mazda IDS (any) will NOT work for Generation 7 and or newer Mazda's made after MY 2019.
In fact soon the ETAS Bosch Mazda VCM II will be obsolete for use with MDARS, but will always work for Mazda IDS as will the new Denso VCi.
This New Passthru for Mazda Generation 7+ is the DENSO DST-010B VCI and also used with MDARS.
The new DENSO VCI will eventually be the ONLY VCI which will work with MDARS.

MDARS-II is now out for all new 2026 MY Mazda's and Can NOT be used in place of MDARS, there will now be the two Diagnostics, MDARS II ONLY Works with new DENSO DST-010B VCi and Can ONLY be downloaded as a Dealer from Denso Website.

Your Software Tools:
Obviously it is 'Mazda IDS 140.04' or later-higher installed in a W10/W11 64Bit Pro PC ONLY.
IDS WILL NOT WORK WITH ANY Mac, ONLY Windows!
Your PC MUST have a file compression and extraction program as default ALREADY INSTALLED and working, like WinZip, WinRAR, ZIP Extractor, etc.
I use WinRAR, WINRAR set it to .zip after install (not .rar).

Calibration Files Set

See image called "ALL CAL Files MAZDA".jpeg.
This is a PC screen picture on how all your Mazda Calibration (CAL) Files MUST look inside the 'Mazda Motor Corporation' Folder/Directory.
These directories or folders are created when you first install any IDS, but are empty when IDS 140.00 is run, however this is where the IDS program looks into for the required Calibration File update or repair files and where you MUST copy/paste the complete list if Mazda Calibration Files in a compressed format Mazda IDS automatically extracts the correct update file to install in car Module(s).

NOTE:
The TOTAL Number of ZIPPED Calibration Files with this set MUST be 21,271 if yours is less than this number then you have not copied/pasted the 10x Calibration File Sets correctly.
Check your work, this is not difficult to do.
THEY MUST REMAIN ZIPPED! in the directory in your Laptop (see Image).

SEE: The PC's directory order for IDS with the red highlights.
Underneath as a guide only on what is correct.
SEE: The Bottom left corner showing *21,271 items*.
To view Calibration Files as 'Details' in the view drop-down menu.
This also means you have all Mazda Calibration Files installed correctly in their ZIPPED only format with 21,271 items...

NEVER UN-ZIP ANY OF THESE CALIBRATION FILES, your PC's 'MAZDA IDS' WILL FIND AND UNZIP TO INSTALL CORRECT FILES AUTOMATICALLY when a Control Unit Module needs updating or installing from a new part.

HOW TO FIND CAL FILES.
Obviously you now know where to download the Mazda Calibration Files from MEGA, this Set of Consists of 10x separate file Sets which MUST Be installed correctly into your PC's Mazda 'Calibration Files' folder.
Calibration Files cover ALL of the following Countries:
Europe, UK, North America, South America, Australia, NZ, many parts of Asia, Japan.
If there is not the Calibration file here for you, then download from Ford Motor Company.

This is for Mazda IDS 140/140.04 ONLY, do NOT group or include any Ford Calibration Files for Ford vehicles in Mazda's IDS!

HOW TO INSTALL EACH 'CALIBRATION FILE SET' INTO MAZDA IDS.
Download each Set ONE AT A TIME.
Download from Mega only as "Download as a .zip file".
If you choose the other STANDARD DOWNLOAD you will have thousands of small zipped files on you Desktop Laptop PC, just harder to manage, DO NOT download direct on to a Program File directory. Ignore or OK any Mega pop up about large file .zip extractions.

The method I have chosen as it is my Mega Account is to ''Download as a .zip'' from Mega and save to my DESKTOP or a desktop folder, I prefer doing this by processing ONE of the 10x downloaded .zip FOLDERS at a time.
NEXT: See inside each Calibration Folder at the top are 3 dots in a row... Click on the 3 dots a drop Drop-down appears see "Select all" then click on it.
Take mouse pointer to the top left see the COPY to the right of the scissors, click on scissors cut or copy then take mouse go over to... This PC > Local Disk © > Program Files (x86) > Mazda Motor Corporation > Calibration Files.

Open Calibration Files folder (should be empty for the first) then right click paste the Mega File of 'First' into the empty 'Calibration Files' folder, the files in zip will slowly paste into 'Calibration Files' Folder.
As you PASTE the .Zip Content over into Cal Directory you might find
a few Duplicated .Zip Files with the Windows Pop Up, Just Click on
blue "Replace the files in the destination", the reason why this
happened is because it is not easy splitting One huge file of over
21,000 .Zip files into a set size of 10 Folders about < 3GB each.

YOU DO NOT TOUCH THEM or UNZIP ANY OF THE SINGLE CAL FILES THEY MUST REMAIN IN .ZIP FORMAT!
DELETE THE NOW EMPTY YELLOW folder.

Next you do the exact same for the other 9x Mega downloaded Calibration Files Sets.
Delete the 10x empty yellow folder(s) after each extracted folder is completed.

WHEN TOTALLY FINISHED YOUR LAPTOP/PC MUST LOOK LIKE THE IMAGE WITH '21,271 ITEMS'. You know you have correctly installed all the Calibration Files Sets.

WARNING: As the TOTAL size of Mazda Calibration Files is about 30GB then you might have to download over a period of days as Mega for Free has Daily download limit of up to 6GB for free unless you join up for a paid account, Mega does NOT Spam your email account either. Or use a VPN or any trick for to change your ip address.
I have managed to free Mega download two Sets @ 6GB Calibration Files with no problems, leave it for 6 hours minimum and download two more Sets if you do not want to pay.

Here info for EACH of the 10x Calibration File Sets, each SET are just under 3GB.

AFTER your manual installation of all these Calibration Files Sets, your Mazda IDS 140/140.04 system is now ready to be use.

DO NOT install OLD C93 Calibration Files as it will conflict with this new large set.

The BEST tool to use is Forscan and saving the xxx.cfg file (Original) and saving the changes in a new file name.
You must have an extended license to use this feature.

NOTE 1: As always, DO NOT anyone try to install the Mazda IDS along with the Ford IDS or along with JLR SDD or along with Honda HDS! wait

You need to install it separate and as "Standalone"! secret

So, use 1x from the famous solutions such Dual Boot, BootIT, VMWare, etc... wink

NOTE 2: Please, DO NOT anyone start to posting any Request about Calibration Files V96, because the FULL & COMPLETE DVD's,
Mazda & Ford they STOPPED anymore to Releasing them! devil

NOTE 3: In this new Release V96, the Mazda VCM II Manager is NOT UPDATED! shake
