I use original caterpillar adapter 3 and cat ET 2010b software.
Engines MY 2005, but software wrote: this engines not supported.
Don't understand why. Maybe some problems with software key? I use "full service dealer ET" key.

Came in for a check engine light. Found the compressor was knocking and throwing oil everywhere in the engine. Pulled the compressor head an found a broken ring in the front cylinder. R and R the compressor. Cleaned all the air tubes, crankcase vents, charge air cooler. Replaced the oil clogged and head. Cleaned out the exhaust pipes (they were fairly clean considering) Reassembled. Cleared all codes and events using a factory password i got here (thanks!). Only code present is "high soot load - moderate severity". Tried to force a regen, but it would not complete. ARD ignition would start, but it would abort/fail the regen after a few minutes, never got past 35% i think. Always says regen will take an hour to complete.

Run and ignition test, it passed. Differential pressure in the DPF is .2 to .6. All exhaust temps seem good. No other active codes. Ran fuel system functional test, it passed. Pulled the DPF thinking it was face plugged with oil, but it doesn't look that bad. Gonna have it cleaned anyway.

Just thought it was weird that it will not regen, but throws no other codes or reason that it failed. Occasionally ET would tell me that the interlock had been lost or that the regen inhibit had been enable and kick out of the regen, but there is no regen enable switch installed in this truck. Confused at this point.

I'm using CAT ET 2011B and a CAT comm adapter 3 cable box.
