I tried to diagnose a fault on a 2007 Accord diesel using GNA600.
When I entered the VIN, instead of the selection menus populating, I was shown a text box with "Incorrect VIN please re-enter".
I double checked the correct entry with the same result.

I selected a previous VIN from a 2009 Accord and the selection lists populated. I entered a mileage and when I selected the tick the screen cleared and showed "would you like to program this VIN to the ECU?"

It seems as if the VIN on the vehicle does not match the one stored in the ECU (incorrect VIN).
When I use a previous session's VIN it wants to overwrite the one stored. It knows it isn't correct.

Is there any way to force a manually configured session or must I somehow read the stored VIN and then change it?

Other than that is the software playing up?
Have I gone blonde?

Now that i have vcm II for ford, I can use one for Mazda which I do, yes i know they use vcm II also but hey it works till moneys better. Now can i use my other clone with Honda now? On separate laptop yes I know? If so, how do I flash the gna back to Honda, will the hds software do it for me like ford or Mazda does? Or will I have to get a file somewhere and load into the folder to make the vcm gna again, which i have the file si used to drop into directory to make this so back then...? and which versions of hds will still work with the gna devise. and is the software any better, I.E. is the software faster, more functions available to me then when I used it with the last version used with just a j2534 devise. I am hoping I can do this and if so that it will give me better functions then with just the j2534 and if so some directions if one has time to aid me in my venture. yes I know the new tool is much better and relatively cheap but not to me, not yet so id like to use this vcm for Honda but only if the vcm/gna can use better/newer versions and better results then with just the j2534. thanks to all for input good or bad...lol

Hi everyone was wondering if someone could help me out. I have a clone HIM that has been working great. Yesterday I needed to replace an ECM on 09 Accord and when I went into the immobilizer section and performed the function to replace ECM I entered the password that I got from the calculator that is around and the password was accepted however the function failed to register the ECM... I tried a few more times and still could not get it to work (body-shop car so maybe further problems)... Now when I try to gain access to the immobilizer function again in the HIM it tells me that the function is locked and I need a password... I again used the calculator and saw the section for HIM unlock # but that number does not work... Does anyone know how I can fix this issue??? Any help would be great.
I run a small workshop and currently have snap on and Bosch KTS machines but we now a few Honda clients and so I've bought a cheap MVCI interface to see how we get on but I cant for the life of me get the thing to initialize.

The thing is an MVCI clone and came with the HDS 2.018, the drivers installed and it shows it as a USB serial port which I've set on com1, it doesn't show MVCI in device manager, not sure if its supposed to.

Does anyone have any tips/tricks with these or some later flash or update files for the interface as I cant get it to run. The HDS all loads up but does not communicate with the interface, tried changing com ports etc but I'm completely stumped

I've read a couple of threads about registry tweaks but I'd appreciate any help I can get
Many thanks

Hi

I am in doubt about interface for key programing, on one side the x-vci ford which is supposed to support HDS, on other side x-100 handheld which is said to program keys without incode.

My doubts are, x-vci does it needs incode?, does ad100 calculates right code?, someone having feedback on Honda with this two?,

what about t300, is old device... I will mainly be doing civic 2007 Europe,

thanks a lot!
